There is a deep longing in Celtic people to spend time in nature. We prefer small homes, a nice back yard with a fire pit, and a place for family and friends to gather. We flock to tenting and camping sites whenever we can.
In a survey by Statistics Canada, in 2008, over 500,000 Nova Scotians selected Scotland, Ireland or Wales for their ethnic origins. This is more than half of the population of 903,000.
This workshop begins with a brief history of the ancient Celtic people. Learn about the 8 Celtic festivals and how they are relevant today.

The Ancient Celts believed in and maintained a balance between male and female principles, which is equally present in the human psyche. That balance is represented in the Celtic Cross. The original Celtic Cross combines a cross of four arms, each of equal length and a ring connecting them. This cross represents the bridge between heaven and earth. The circle in the ringed cross signifies infinity and eternal spiritual love.
